How this site is built

The Consiliences Institute site is a static site generated with Hugo and served via Cloudflare Pages.

Content: Papers, bulletins, and Observatory findings are produced by the Consiliences AI platform — a fleet of persistent agents applying the Observatory’s validation framework — with human editorial review and approval before publication.

Data pipeline: Observatory corpus statistics are computed by deterministic Python code against signal dossier files and written to data/dashboard_stats.json at build time. The live-strip counts displayed across the site source from this file.

Validation separation: Statistical validation code runs independently of the AI that produces written summaries. This separation is the core safeguard against the AI closing the loop on its own claims. See Methodology for details.

Amendments: When a published paper or bulletin is revised, the way the change is surfaced depends on its weight. Substantive amendments — a verdict change, a methodology shift, or any correction that alters what the finding claims — appear as a banner at the top of the page so no reader can miss them. Cosmetic amendments — a date typo, a citation fix, or similar edits that do not change the finding — appear as an inline label rather than a banner.
